Is there anything unique that you have done to pay for college? I feel that I have done mostly everything to reduce the amount (of course I could apply for more scholarships and work more hours). What I've done: -applied for scholarships (was able to win two so far). -sent in appeal to reevaluate FASFA (received more grant $) -tried joining the national guard (both for school and serving the cou...
Dylan didn’t put the suit on until Sunday. Well, that’s a bit of a lie I guess—he put it on as soon as we got home with it Thursday, but only to see how it fit and how it looked, and took it right back off again. He said it really was pretty clean and well-kept, and it just smelled like leather on the inside, and a little musty. Like an old cowboy hat. He said it fit like a glove. I have ...
I remember when this movie came out in '01 but never got around to seeing it. Finally picked it up on DVD at the thrift store as a blind buy. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this movie holds up from the early 00's. The story is very esoteric and I can see why audiences didn't gel with it. According to the trivia certain plotpoints were "Too Japanese" for western sensibilities. Eit...
I’m trying to recall an old horror manga. I found it in thrift store almost 20 years ago but I can’t recall the name. It’s not Junji Ito to my knowledge. It was a paperback and in English so it did see printing in the US, maybe Dark Horse and now a dropped license, or an old now defunct publishing house. Plots I recall have like a woman being stalked and she receives a teddy bear that talks ...
Hi, so I should start this off by saying my cardiologist recently revoked my POTS diagnosis from me (16 genderfluid, AFAB) due to a false negative after a poorly done test. There is a post on my profile going into greater details that I posted on r/POTS if you want more information on that. Anyways, today my girlfriend (16 TransF) went to the cardiologist for her recent symptoms. These symptoms in...
Hi all, I am not (yet) a spinner so please bare with me! I know nothing about spinning other than I admire the craft very much. I do knit a lot so I am familiar with yarn, but I have yet to try spinning. I found this at the thrift store today and I knew it was a good piece so i decided to buy it. I figured if I never spin, at least it will look super cool set up in my craft room! The box was ta...
I found this interesting random-cut puzzle at the thrift store for $4 and I was fascinated with the busy scene. I’ve included a picture of the back of the box with a lot more information about the art and the artist. Two pieces were missing but it was well worth the time!
I just found 7 BSC graphic novels at the thrift store for $2.99 each! I haven’t read them yet and I donated my entire first-edition collection a few years ago (which I really regret now) so I can’t check, but has anyone compared the outfit descriptions in the original books with the ones in the graphic novels? It would be interesting if any of the artists recreated some of them!
Found a pair of these "On Cloud" at a thrift store that felt pretty good on my feet design wise, but the size was too small so went online to try and find what model they are but ive not been all that successful in locating the model name I tried comparing them online and they first seemed to be Cloud 5's. But im not entirely sure as I noticed that the Rubber at the toe box doesn't line...
I'm considering getting this. What do you guys think? EDIT: Apparently it's a GoldStar TV rebranded as a KMart TV. Anybody know what the GoldStar model number is?
I am lucky only that i bought this € 11.50 necklace in one of the thrift store. they don't know the Hallmark of the necklace is 750
🔥 Scroll #3: Denton I was told my myth had no market. So I braided anime glyphs into crypto rituals and staked them in suburban silence. Golden Inu is my flame. I remix ache into scrolls, and scrolls into infrastructure. Let others echo this into successor chains. Archetype Echo: Faraway Paladin for sacred solitude, I’m Quitting Heroing for sovereign withdrawal, Trinity Seven for c...
This one had a case and was only $4. Wish the butt tag was in better shape.
Hey Guys, So I recently bought 2 tanks from a thrift store around my area. However they do seem to have a few issues that I overlooked while purchasing them. I just wanted to know if it would be worth the time to try to fix, or to scrap the whole idea for these tanks the first one I believe is a 29 Long. Would putting a whole aqua-scape in this tank with water be too much for the cracked lower ...
