Started buying a Walmart e-card on my phone in the parking lot before going in, small thing but adds up

Started doing this maybe 3 months back. Before walking into Walmart for my regular grocery run, I open a cashback app on my phone, buy a $100 Walmart e-gift card, get around 6 to 8% back instantly into my app balance, then use the e-card at checkout like a normal payment.
