US Federal Law: Is it legal for stores to "loan" food to customers and then collect SNAP/EBT payments later?

Location: Oregon, USA I own a small foods store, and am trying to figure out if I can legally help people who won't get their food benefits next month. In Oregon they are telling people to expect that November benefits will eventually be paid out, but they don't know when. I'd like to offer (to our regular customers) to extend credit for food they need, and then collect payment via EBT benefits w...

Combining Hives or Requeening?

2nd year beekeeper in Wichita, Kansas, USA. I have two hives. After two extensive hive inspections I’m certain one hive has lost its queen. No signs of brood or eggs. Population and food stores are good for now. With it being this late in the season I’m not sure if I should try to find a new queen or if I’d be better off combining my hives at this point. Anyone dealt with a similar situation...

Neat find

My house was built in 1982. I bought this house in 2017. There have been numerous homeowners. Today I attempted to close the drawer in the kitchen and wasn’t able to and figured something was behind it blocking it from closing. I pulled the drawer out to find someone’s old stash of Walmart bag bags and a coupon that expired in 1995. Per Google the Walmart bags were in use from 1998 to 2001.

Need help please!

Can anyone help me? I'm in the middle of editing three fanfiction stories I wrote, and I'm using the latest version of LibreOffice on a Lenovo Windows 11 computer. The screen shot I took that has the red circles is the problem. All three stories were written long ago on Office Word. When I upload the first two stories, the spacing after each period is the usual two spaces, and it looks normal....

Can I donate this to any of y'all?

My cat who was diagnosed with CKD in December recently passed away after a recent cancer diagnosis. I still have some of her food and medication, and I would love if any of y'all could use it instead of me just tossing it. Below is the list of what's available and it's first come first serve. Please send a chat or DM. If you could just pay for shipping I would appreciate it, as I have a sick dog a...

Feedback and suggestions for my itinerary?

Come September this will be my city itinerary (and why); this is a bucket list trip I'm doing for myself before I turn 30! For reference, I live in Canada.  **Paris, France:** Flying into CDG. Moving on to Romania.  **Bucharest, Romania:** Transylvania, also really cheap; and a close family friend is from Romania. Eastern Europe gets overlooked far too often and it's an amazing travel desti...

Combined 2 hives and need help assessing.

Newbie here (USA, Zone 6, 2-ish hives). I had a colony facing collapse and was able to get a 5 frame nuc from a nearby friend who had a surplus of colonies. I had 5 healthy frames from the new nuc that I put into an 8 frame box on the bottom and on top I put the surviving 2 frames from the old colony on top using the newspaper method to divide them while they got used to one another. Things se...

Went to a Chinese Supermarket, in Naples Italy, and Found These Two Next to Each Other

Had to pick them up, the American Florida Water was quite literally the only American product I saw in the entire, mostly food, store. The other is Chinese, by a brand called Jahwa, and it smells similar to the American version, very floral and citrusy, but much more natural and less synthetic than the American version. In China these Florida Waters are used to cool off during the summer from the ...

A (relatively) cheap stop gap that *can* help slow down Endo

Full disclosure: I'm not endo free, amd looking at a hysterectomy later this year. But I found some options that have greatly improved quality of life for awhile, and thought I'd share. These come from a women's doctor specialist I saw after my second kid was born & I was STRUGGLING. (Shout out to her byw, she was amaz!). These tips don't stop endo. But it bought me several years with a hi...

How to get henna (& maybe indigo??)color right to cover some greys at roots, temples…& do whole head again?

After years of health food store boxed dye to cover grays on my brunette hair, I switched in November to less toxic henna & did Light Mountain two step Cover the Grey. Color decent but major hassle & didn’t last. Decided to pay big bucks to a gal in town a couple times. She uses Rainbow brown & mahogany, and to my amazement, it’s just a one step process AND she does the...

Cannabis Viewed Through the USA’s Federally Regulated Three Tier Alcohol System - Part 2

**How could this play out?** Like Canada and the vast majority of the US States that have “gone legal” medical cannabis was the lead followed by adult use. We believe the US federal regulations will follow a similar path. Medical cannabis could be federally permissible first, and when the cannabis shipment looks to enter a State’s medical cannabis framework, it would then abide by the...
