Latest Discussions and Reviews About Food Stores in USA

Did any of you use "Natural" remedies for hay-fever, especially before the better medications became available in the 1990's? I want to know about how common Natural medicine was in the West, specifically in the 1970s and 1980s.

Hi folks, Allergy-obsessed girl here, again. I had awful spring hay-fever in the 2000's ( April and May), mostly in my eyes, and PND/Cough/Sore throat. I had Patanol and Zyrtec until I naturally outgrew it. I have read that here in the USA, the "good " allergy medicines for kids ( non sedating pills, eyedrops, nasal sprays) didn't really exist until the 1990s. I read that this basical...

Did any of you guys use Natural Remedies for Hay-fever, specifically before the non drowsy medications became available for children in the 1990's?

Hi folks, Allergy-obsessed girl here, again. I have read that here in the USA, the "good " allergy medicines for kids ( non sedating pills, eyedrops, nasal sprays) didn't really exist until the 1990s. I read that this basically meant your options were sedating anti histamines or allergy shots. If you got sick for less than a month ( which I heard was common at the time, as a single tre...

Grocery? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

BILT obsidian has already become problematic, as they do not consider certain types of grocery stores to be grocery spend. This makes the card largely useless for 75% of my grocery spend. In their words: "Please note that Bilt classifies transactions based on the merchant category code, which is established by the business itself, not by Bilt. On our end, we can see that this transaction is...

Shrinkflation at Martin's Foods (and Giant, Food Lion, Hannaford)

Was in a Martin's Foods store today. In the frozen vegetables aisle, I figured I would stock up on some broccoli. I usually buy the store brand frozen vegetables - on the bag, the store brand uses this logo: https://preview.redd.it/q77ulf2hh7ag1.png?width=72&format=png&auto=webp&s=118b02fa7d54e8fbd393251b34018ffb03ce6d7f The bags say on the back that it is distributed ...

US Federal Law: Is it legal for stores to "loan" food to customers and then collect SNAP/EBT payments later?

Location: Oregon, USA I own a small foods store, and am trying to figure out if I can legally help people who won't get their food benefits next month. In Oregon they are telling people to expect that November benefits will eventually be paid out, but they don't know when. I'd like to offer (to our regular customers) to extend credit for food they need, and then collect payment via EBT benefits w...

Combining Hives or Requeening?

2nd year beekeeper in Wichita, Kansas, USA. I have two hives. After two extensive hive inspections I’m certain one hive has lost its queen. No signs of brood or eggs. Population and food stores are good for now. With it being this late in the season I’m not sure if I should try to find a new queen or if I’d be better off combining my hives at this point. Anyone dealt with a similar situation...

Neat find

My house was built in 1982. I bought this house in 2017. There have been numerous homeowners. Today I attempted to close the drawer in the kitchen and wasn’t able to and figured something was behind it blocking it from closing. I pulled the drawer out to find someone’s old stash of Walmart bag bags and a coupon that expired in 1995. Per Google the Walmart bags were in use from 1998 to 2001.

Need help please!

Can anyone help me? I'm in the middle of editing three fanfiction stories I wrote, and I'm using the latest version of LibreOffice on a Lenovo Windows 11 computer. The screen shot I took that has the red circles is the problem. All three stories were written long ago on Office Word. When I upload the first two stories, the spacing after each period is the usual two spaces, and it looks normal....

Feedback and suggestions for my itinerary?

Come September this will be my city itinerary (and why); this is a bucket list trip I'm doing for myself before I turn 30! For reference, I live in Canada.  **Paris, France:** Flying into CDG. Moving on to Romania.  **Bucharest, Romania:** Transylvania, also really cheap; and a close family friend is from Romania. Eastern Europe gets overlooked far too often and it's an amazing travel desti...
