Non-stretch women's jeans

My wife has lost some weight and is looking to buy a couple pairs of jeans. However, all the department store brands seem to just have stretch fabric, which doesn't look as good as 100% cotton and doesn't last as long. Where can she go to find a decent selection of 100% cotton denim in a variety of styles and doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Thanks!

Found this gorgeous bag from 1968!

Bought this gorgeous bag at a charity shop and found a receipt from a Bristol department store in 1968. There is no branding anywhere except maybe the zipper in the last photo. If anyone could help identify this it would be greatly appreciated, thanks Also I’m aware that you shouldn’t be posting items you own but there is no other subreddit for this and would greatly appreciate my post not be...

Help Narrowing down a scent

Hi there, I apologize for my description but I don’t know the individual scents or much about cologne in general but any help is much appreciated. I’m looking for a cologne my uncle used to wear. It’s common enough I smell it in public but never get a good opportunity to ask what it is. It’s pungent but not offensive, I’d say smells masculine, it seems like it lasts a long time and it’...

Is it bad form to dispute a credit-card charge after getting a low-quality “custom suit” from a taxi-recommended tailor in Thailand?

I’m curious how people who know Thailand (locals / expats / frequent visitors) see this. Scenario: – Tourist arrives, gets a taxi or tuk-tuk from the airport / bus / pier. – Instead of dropping them right at the hotel, the driver stops somewhere nearby and says something like: “This is as close as I can get, I show you how to walk there, follow me.” – While “showing the way,” ...

Should I follow my dream or choose stability?

Hey Reddit! Keeping everything vague for anonymity, but…I need some help. So I (F22) just graduated with my bachelors degree in December. I got my degree somewhat specialized in project management for the fashion industry. I just recently started working full time in janurary at a retail department store as an assistant sales manager/area sales manager. I’m not salaried as I’m still in train...

CHANEL WITHOUT A FACE

# A House Built on Structure There are fashion houses built on personalities. And then there are houses built on structures. CHANEL belongs to the second kind. # The Arrangement The modern story doesn’t really begin with tweed jackets or hemlines. It begins with a business arrangement in 1924, when Coco Chanel partnered with the Wertheimer family to commercialize Chanel No. 5. She brought the...

3/1/2026 Weekend Recap

Saturday: I was woken up early by my son. I got up and he crawled into my bed and fell back to sleep for a while. He got up, I washed some strawberries for him, for breakfast. We went to the gym for a while and he hung out in the childcare center. The lady who works in the childcare center gave me a long and unsolicited spiel about her and her friend's successes with Mounjaro, and invited me to...

Seeking classic British mystery/thriller from the 1970s - please help!

Hoping this forum is the best one to help me solve this question. I remember a TV episode of a thriller series from the 1970s about a man who passes a test to become CEO of a department store, only to discover that the job involves being locked in the penthouse apartment for the rest of his life. His butler is a dwarf, and the only exit is via the lift shaft. With no elevator in it. I've searched ...

Brand/site recommendations for mid-size formal wear?

I'm going to be attending a wedding soon and want to get a nice blazer and pants without it being too expensive. Wanted to see if yall had any recommendations for brands catering to women with broad shoulders, not skinny, etc. since all the typical department stores I've gone to don't have anything that fits me comfortably or makes me feel good. The help is greatly appreciated!

Are PFM Delina Body Cream Testers Refillable?

I fell in love with the Delina body cream + PFM Delina La Rosée combo but the body cream is sold out everywhere, so I managed to track down a refill and was gifted an empty tester container by a department store rep. Unfortunately, I can't get the refill to fit properly. The box mentions a dip in the rim of the container the refill should slip into before twisting, so I'm wondering if I'm doing ...

The Breakup Specialist

https://youtu.be/KbYxYKWCbbg?si=4dIjQ7qFYc88I6Lz My job is… unusual. I break people up for a living. Not the legal kind—that’s what lawyers are for. I handle the messy, emotional fallout that comes before the paperwork is signed. They say love is priceless, but men and women who just whispered “I love you” to their partners can place a six-figure order with me seconds later. Take rig...

Department Store Makeup

I'm going to a department store to purchase some Dermablend foundation and cover stick, the last time I went the clerk didn't seem to know what color would match my skin the best and I thought they were supposed to know about these things. I have a drawer full of foundation that were never a good match from the face to the neck. I'm tired of wasting money and I want to know if I can go somewhere t...

Just got my first bike. Is this concerning?

Backstory: I just got my first ( non department store) bike and it is a gravel bike with carbon forks. There was some issues with the seat post so they fixed that over night and I didn’t think to give the bike a once over when I picked it up again today. I say again because I did ride it about a mile or so around the store before the seat post slipped and I brought it back. I did ride it about 4...

When to use vitamins in casual playthrough?

I know vitamins only affect the first 100 evs. does that mean if I want to train a particular stat, I should use the vitamins right away, before my pokemon get 100 evs from battle? if my pokemon are around level 25 to 30 right now, have I probably filled up the 100 evs in my playthrough or will vitamins still help? I'm partially wondering because I just got to the department store and I am not su...
