Entropy in Blue

“What happened to Grandma and Grandpa?” my little sister asks, clutching her teddy bear. Susie’s sun-bronzed face is scrunched, a prelude to tears.    “I don’t know,” my mother replies, her sun-ravaged countenance struggling for serenity beneath her ever-greying tresses. “I called the police, but they have no new information. Maybe the two of ’em took off on a sudden vacation....

I scored! I think so anyway..

Stumbled across this resale electronics store called PayMore.Thought the price was wrong at first, but it was correct. Was built in July 25 so pretty new still. I figured go for it. Store was chill and was able to trade a couple things in as well. They had a few more PC's as well. Link to PC if anyone's curious. https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Prebuilt-PC-GML-99733

Tired of shady "deal" sites? Here's my actual 3-step process for finding legit savings on everyday items (saved $250+ this quarter) 💸

I'm so over seeing "70% off!" banners only to find out the original price was totally fake, or it's actually cheaper on another site *without* a "sale." It feels like most discounts nowadays are just marketing fluff designed to make us feel like we're getting a steal when we're often just paying regular price. Lately, I've started spending some serious time actually digging in...

S10 FE to S10 ultra trade in value proposition

Hi all, I'd like to preface by saying I am an engineering uni student and use my tab for 3D modelling and note-taking currently. At an electronics store, the S10 Ultra is $1049 (half price) until the end of February.I bought my S10 FE in may last year for $809 AUD I don't have many major complaints with the FE aside from some minor lag when using split screen apps and large notes and word, and e...

Spent 2 weeks cross-referencing 5 major retailers for a new TV: (Found it for 25% less by combining two specific browser extensions) 🔍

Is anyone else completely fed up with seeing "deals" that are anything but? You know, the ones where the "original price" is clearly inflated, or the "sale" price is actually higher than what it was selling for a month ago. It drives me crazy, and it feels like a waste of time sifting through all that noise. I've been on a personal mission lately to cut through the m...

Mall Jewelry Store Alarm System?

Hello! I am not a security professional, however I would appreciate some advice from someone who is. I currently work in a small, family-owned fine jewelry store in a mall, and recently my coworker and I are concerned that we may have people casing us. Very suspicious individuals have come in on days when we work alone, and while we never discriminate here, they have a very particular way of phras...

Spent 3 months refining my approach to finding *actual* discounts, not just markups: Here's the systematic process that saved me hundreds 💸

Raise your hand if you've ever seen a "flash sale" or "limited time offer" that felt… a little off. Like, was that "original price" even real? I'm tired of digging through supposed "deals" only to find they're barely discounts, or worse, just marketing tricks designed to make you *think* you're saving big. That's exactly why I started putting in the legwo...

[SBXD037] first purchase after arriving japan

After checking Yodobashi and Bic Camera, I ultimately decided to purchase it from the Osaka Seiko Boutique. The staff were exceptional, and the overall experience was outstanding. I would gladly have paid more for that level of service compared to buying from a regular electronics store.

Tired of endless scrolling for deals? Here's my ACTUAL process for finding legit discounts (saved $300+ on home goods this quarter) 💸

Ever felt that gut punch when you buy something "on sale," only to realize a week later it's even cheaper, or the "original price" was completely made up to begin with? Yeah, me too. I'm genuinely tired of wading through endless "deals" that are anything but. Most of the time, those big flashy percentage signs are just a clever marketing trick to get you to buy at ful...

Sony WH-1000XM5 VS XM6 for my partner

I’m trying to pick Bluetooth headphones as a Valentine’s gift for my partner, and I’m confused. He goes to the gym a lot, and of course, like everyone in the gym, he always has his headphones on. His current headphones aren't bad, but he’s had them for over a year, and I’m thinking maybe a new headphone set would be a great gift? I’ve narrowed it down to Sony’s WH-1000XM line, but ...

Speaker setup advice

Hello everyone, I’m based in Italy and I’m looking for some advice on choosing speakers for my setup. I currently have an Audio-Technica AT-LP120X and a Yamaha A-S501. I recently received a gift card for a local electronics store and, as a student, I’d really like to use it toward a pair of speakers. Unfortunately, this limits my options quite a bit. My living room is 5,60m/4,30m/2,9m, so ...
