Are these good prices for Samsung NVME SSDs?

Hey y’all, I stopped by my electronics store and saw these Samsung 990 Pros on sale. 2 TB - $106.46 1 TB - $47.46 These seem like great prices for today? Just wanted to make sure I’m not missing anything before I pull the trigger. Thanks for the help! EDIT: I won’t be back as soon as I’d like, but when I get the chance, I’ll try and buy as many as they’ll let me. Thanks everyone fo...

Today I did something I hadn’t done in twenty years

Bought an UMD and watched it on the plane a few hours later. I bought a psp 1000 at launch and really enjoyed those few years where you could walk into an airport electronics store and pick a movie for the flight. Did kinda the same thing today, had my psp charged and ready for travel when I randomly spotted this umd in a second hand store, and just got the urge to buy it 🎬

A major nationwide electronics chain (Let's call them Tikka Masala) is falsely claiming my independent electronics business is selling fraudulent products.

I run an independent electronics store in England. Think TVs, fridges, computers, washing machines etc. About 4 weeks ago I started getting reviews on TrustPilot and Google from people who wrote warnings that they had been told my shop was fraudulent and "not even based in the UK." So, I reached out to a few of them. One replied and told me that a major nationwide chain told her to avo...

Micro-USB port broke off my RetroTINK-2X Pro — looking for repair options

Hi all, I purchased my RetroTINK-2X Pro several years ago and absolutely loved using it. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to use it for about a year. The micro-USB power port partially broke off the board and needs to be soldered back on (pictured). I don’t have any soldering experience and understand this isn’t really a beginner-level repair, so I’m worried I might permanently damage ...

Sensitive Eyes with S26U

I was at an electronics store today and spent 15 minutes trying out the S26U, copying my screen settings from my S23. I have sensitive eyes. Despite wearing glasses with a blue-light filter, I had eye pain after 15 minutes. I did perceive the screen as extremely sharp. I actually wanted to buy an S26U because I really like it. But now I’ll probably go with the S25U instead because I’m worried...

Switch 2 in Japan ❌

Foreigner(American) living in Japan here. Buying a Switch 2 was… disheartening to say the least I didn’t realize Japan sells a special Japanese-language Switch 2 that basically locks you into the Japan’s Nintendo “Ecosystem” The console only works with Japanese Nintendo accounts, and the eShop requires Japanese payment methods. Even if you change your account region to Japan, it still ...

For those who didn’t understand my Neo post, Neo screen vs Air screen:

For all complaining about my Neo having a bad screen, it was just a bad picture taking on my side. Over exposed low light cranked up brightness. So behold some new bad pictures Neo vs Air while gaming. So if the Neo has a bad screen what about the Air?! Just do your own research please and don’t believe me a random reddit poster on his blue eyes. (Don’t have blue eyes..) Just check both at...

Corsair mm pro control mousepad

This is easily the worst mousepad I have ever used. I bought the Corsair MM Pro Control because I wanted a clean gray mousepad that looked good with my setup and I expected it to be high quality since the last Corsair mousepad I owned had a much better surface. Instead, the quality has been extremely disappointing. The side stitching is already fraying, which should not be happening on a “premiu...

Wasted hours scrolling "deals" until I perfected a 3-step process for finding legit savings 💸 (Saved $125 on home goods this week)

You know that feeling when you see a "50% off!" banner, get all excited, and then realize the item was only 10% cheaper a week ago? Or worse, you find it for less *without* a sale at a different store? Yeah, I've been there. Too many times. It's frustrating to sort through the noise, especially when brands inflate original prices just to make a "deal" look better. I've spent a...

If Anti AI’s hate AI so much, why don’t they stop using things with AI?

This is a serious question. Anti AI’s complain about AI being everywhere in our daily lives. But that’s because you allow it to be in your life. There are ways of not having it anywhere in your life. But it’s up to you, if you are truly committed to being AI Free. But you must take the steps of selecting things or places that don’t use AI. Stop using products, programs, electronics, stor...

When you gotta wait a month to get an SD card... 😂

Just got my first DAP since the days of the iPod classic. I'm waiting till I go to my cousin's next month to pick up an SD card at an electronics store cause I'd rather purchase one in person to avoid fakes or it getting lost/swiped. I live in a small town and all we have is a Walmart and they don't have hardly any SD cards, just a few Sandisks. Absolutely love the form factor and the volume kno...

My idea for an alternate ending of Season 5

I've had this idea mulling around in my head for a while so I thought I'd make an account and try to post this somewhere. Before season 5 came out, I honestly thought the show might end in a way similar to what I have written below but alas it was not to be. Anyways, read it and let me know what you think: Would it have been a better ending? This ending diverges when Nancy Wheeler fires her weap...

Shops lock PD bags in window’s shelf

Does anyone find your local store lock PD bags in shelf? Here in Japan one of the largest electronics store, they are letting people play with a $3000 lens but locking a PD everyday backpack. Yeah you can ask staff to bring one for you but that exactly defeats the reason why one wants to go shopping in store, and see and try the real thing. Is that because PD never send any display sample for sh...

Induction stove
