Finally finished my first cardigan just in time for the world warmest spring ✨ it’s the step by step cardigan in Drops Alaska in Olive with the buttons coming from hobby lobby 🫒 I am so happy with how it came out and I’m so happy to learn that the button band knitting was a lot easier than anticipated. Like I said, just in time for the warmest spring ever. Like why was it 90 degrees last ...
Hey fellow believers, Im a single male in his mid twenties. I’ve been serving in the kid’s ministry as a teacher/volunteer (elementary kids) for the last 4+ years, a couple of years ago this woman(for anonymity I’ll call her Jane) joined my team as a volunteer. She has been super consistent ever since and leads the kids with gentleness and grace that is so heartwarming to witness. Currently...
Was just in a local hobby lobby and they had a new expanded 3d print section with many new colors of PLA and also black TPU! Anyone have any experience with the TPU? Nothing was labeled on the box as to whether or not it is 95a or 90a.

I live in LA county and I'm having a hard time finding sheets of balsa wood for making miniatures. I'm wondering if I'm just not looking in the right place. The only things I can find are pre-cut kits for making things like pinewood derby cars or dinosaurs at the usual art/craft stores like Michael's and Blick. (I'm avoiding Hobby Lobby where I can for my own reasons). The only other option of l...
We bought him a fox kit from hobby lobby to learn how to do it and this is what he showed us last night.
Look, I’m sorry if this is already a vent that’s been made more than once in this sub, but I’ve had a helluva week, and one thing I am SO DAMN TIRED of hearing almost without fail every shift: “What can you frame for under $20?” “Why is this frame on the floor $40 but you want to charge me over $200 for MY order?” “Seriously it’s just a 10-minute framing, why’s it cost thirt...
I picked up a $5 oil pastel set at hobby lobby and these are my first results. I’ve never taken an art class and feel really proud of this.
Hey there— I’ve gotten into leather crafting (handbags, journal covers, wallets, etc) and need recommendations for local sources to get leather/materials. I have already checked out Tandy Leather a few times. Other places I’ve tried so far: Hobby Lobby Michaels Smart Art TurnipGreen I know I can order online, but I’d much rather check out the material in person & use onli...
Well Joann’s is dead and I’ve been trying to survive with Micheal’s and hobby lobby, but I hate it! They price gouge-their craft selections are pure dog poop, and really they’re more of a decoration store than a craft store. Anyone have any local craft stores they’d like to recommend instead? I’m big into drawing, and upcycling clothes, recently learned to sew with a machine so any st...
This was the last of this style so I grabbed it. Only when I got home did I notice the misalignment of the grid and I don’t know if I should shift the drills a bit to fit it in the canvas but then the background would shift slightly as well. How should I proceed with this? I can’t have the drills hanging off the edge.. I’m new to diamond painting so wanted to see if anyone has any advic...
Never built one before, got for 45$ and 65$, good prices and good kits? I’m excited to build
First time painting a miniature, pretty happy with how the verdigris came out. Tried to do zenithal/slapchop but not sure how well it came out. Done with Testor acrylics from Hobby Lobby, have some Vallejo coming in today with the rest of my warband. Super excited to do more painting this week.
If you ever question the validity of an on base diagnosis, please obtain a second or third opinion. Use the resources available to you such as a patient advocate, another doctor, or your chain. I remember having an open MRI conducted at an off base facility. My flight doctor stated there was nothing wrong. I was thinking of course nothing is wrong because the open MRI facility handed me a gift ca...
If your friend offered this collection, what would you buy this for? Been out of the game for 5 years and finally accepting that I won't be pulling it out anytime soon. I have the core set with PTTR, Noir, Fantastic 4, and Revelations in a Hobby Lobby artists case. I bought the core/PTTR together used in 2019, the rest i got new in 2020. Since 2021 its been sitting sleeved and ready to go on my ...
To preface, I purchased a $20 airbrush gun from Hobby Lobby that I’ve used for about 6 months to make about 5 banners for my classroom and other school functions. The gun is already malfunctioning. Not sure what’s the next gun to try or if I’m doing something wrong. I always take apart what I can to clean after each use. Also, I have no techniques and don’t consider myself all that good de...
I know this is random and niche, but has anyone had needlework framed locally? I usually do my own, but I'm giving one as a gift and I'd like it done professionally. I won't go to Hobby Lobby. I know about Michaels, but I'm wondering if anyone has used any of the local framing shops, esp. for needlework. Thanks!
Just sharing. Still pretty green, this is my 3rd project so far. The barbed wire was obviously super hard to make consistent, if I did it again I would just use the rope parts and leave out the “barbed” aspect. This is from the RealLeather starter kit from hobby lobby. Definitely recommend if to anyone looking to try this out! (I did buy the dye and barbed wire stamps separate)
