KSS Store Traffic

Every day at an appointed time, I look at a sample of Kohls stores on google maps and record the traffic against the average. Today my sample of 40 stores were at 125.8% (holiday traffic?) above the average for the day and time. I started doing this 9 days ago. I have been trying to find information on how Google calculates Average Traffic for the day and hour and it is very opaque. For the 9 d...

Kohls store in Jasper, IN one of the much smaller footprint- Side not amazed TJMaxx isn’t looking at buying KSS

Did a second stop today at the KSS location in Jasper Indiana. It was half the size of a normal store I believe. Small town and nothing was busy but they had a steady flow at checkouts and shoppers. Prolly 1/10th as busy as the one in Bloomington and Greenwood I posted about. So far, I don’t think stores are understaffed or dirty. Even the non-busy store had atleast 6 people I saw working the ...

Does anyone care about theft?

We’ve had a few different groups of thieves come in and take thousands of dollars from our Sephora. They are hitting other kohls stores too. They are always in casing out Sephora and trying to steal. If LP is there, they make them leave but nothing is happening to make this stop. The process repeats. Why does kohls tolerate this? Is this normal? Do I just live my work life watching people take...

Is kohl’s management really like this?

So i recently got a new store manager at my s@k and can confidently say i went from loving my little job to absolutely dreading to come in. My manager is ALWAYS in sephora and i rarely see her manage the actual kohls store. She has talked negatively about me behind my back, she moved my personal water bottle away from the back counter without my knowledge (she put it in a cabinet because apparentl...

All praise Amazon

I feel there’s almost exclusively negativity surrounding Amazon returns in this subreddit. Well, allow me to put forward the opposite view. Brick and mortar stores are all about foot traffic. Because, what’s the biggest enemy? The one that makes brick and mortar stores expendable. The online experience. Now, I realize Kohls has a thriving online business as well and that is absolutely crucia...

Brands that are ineligible for earnings

How does it work with the brands that are ineligible for earnings? I have a dark green Croft & Barrow tunic in excellent condition and I'm putting together a shipment. Croft & Barrow is on the ineligible list. (It is Kohl's store brand.) Does that mean it's automatically not eligible for earnings or are other criteria considered? If it can't earn anything, I might as well give it t...

Starting to hate working at S@K

I'm 18(F) and work at sephora at kohls and just came on here to rant since my Kohls store manager has now for the second time basically made me count all (8) of Kohls registers during the last hour of closing time, after me and my only other coworker on the floor spent the entire shift putting multiple boxes of truck away and even went into the stockroom while I was busy putting shipment away to t...

PSA: free makeup bag with $75 purchase!!

Not sure if this has been posted yet but make sure to claim a free braided makeup bag with a $75 purchase for the sale event! It’s in the terms and conditions of this savings event. Got mine today and it’s a pretty solid makeup bag or pencil case. The cashier didn’t seem to know about it until the manager stepped in so there’s probably lots of stock everywhere.

Kohl's balboa

Anyone knows what's gonna replace Kohl's store in Balboa? I heard from the stores around that it's gonna be Trader Joe's!!! Honestly it only makes sense because the only ones around people who live in this neighborhood are the Mission Valley and La Jolla store.

Which Card Would You Get if ONLY Opening for SUB?

Main Q is in the title. I'm happy with my cards and existing strategy but have some upcoming expenses (total TBD but guessing \~$10K) that I hypothesize are a good opportunity to earn a SUB. Probably will avoid AF unless <$100 or waived for Y1 (b/c I already pay for C1VX). Of course I'm looking at The Points Guy, Bankrate, Nerdwallet, scrolling this sub, etc. for suggestions; I'm just curi...

How Does Gratis Work for Part-Time Employees at Sephora at Kohl's?

Hi all, I’ve been working at Sephora at Kohl’s for about 8 months now, and I wanted to ask about how gratis works for part-time employees. I only received gratis when I first started last year, and my Kohl’s manager mentioned that I can't order it by myself and that we only get it twice a year. However, I’ve noticed that some other Kohl’s locations I visit while traveling seem to get g...

Target, Amazon, & Kohls Baby Boxes - March 2025

At this point my goal seems to be collecting bottles and travel wipe packs, but I also like all the little samples and things to test out. I wanted to make this post and include photos in case anyone was debating trying to get any of these boxes. I know looking at other people’s posts has been helpful for me when embarking on this endeavor. Not pictured: Bibs pacifier included in the Target bo...

Why are so many chain stores closing?

Right now seems exceptionally bad. Family Dollar, Dollar General, some Kohl's stores, Joanne, Party City, Big Lots, Forever 21. Those are just the ones I know in Q1 of 2025. Honestly, I personally am not too sad to see some of them go as just vessels to sell overpriced junk goods. But what does this say about our economy? I'm sure a lot of the loss of business is due to online retailers. I used to...
