Counter arguments to violence in prepping

While browsing a post in here about a self sufficient garden in here, the top post read "yeah that's cool but then everyone in your neighborhood will just come and steal everything from you, so that doesn't work". This is an argument that comes up very frequently, and in more US-oriented subs, often the reason to stack up guns, and sometimes go as far as to say if you have stuff you nee...

Road Trip/Hiking/Camping Edition

Hi, y'all!  I've enjoyed reading your reviews and have used some of your helpful suggestions to test out products during a 2,000 mile, 8 day road trip with lots of day hiking. Not as glamorous as beauty recommendations, but I hope they help someone else out there. **(NON-ANTIBACTERIAL) WIPES:** **Overall, I was really pleased with the Primal Elements 60pack of baby wipes and would buy them a...

Survival.

Hey, everyone. Maybe you can help me a bit with an issue and some advice. I've worked with food lion since this last summer and some practices are weird considering all the other retail places I've worked like Publix for example. I'm struggling to find a new job, and my current one treats me like garbage, and I'm about to crash out.

So basically, I 24F (Trans) have been working for one company for over three years. I have been incredibly loyal, willfully blind to the mistreatment happening to myself and my colleagues for years, and I, today, am incredibly guilty. In my first month an older guy who worked at another location solicited me for \*spiciness\* after getting my number through a company-wide whatsapp group - which m...

All doors in my street were left wide open.

Every now and then, our front door is left wide open. That's typically not weird, as it is easier to bring in groceries, move furniture or bring in bikes that way. But I recently noticed that the door stays open way more often than usual with no one to be seen around it. But that also isn't unsettling. Some people don't care about the safety of the front door and just leave it open. Others don't s...

Why do a lot of Indian Brands don’t mention the percentage for each ingredient used, in their product description? SHADY? We should get a breakdown of how it accounts for the 100%

was staying in Australia for a while and saw that each product there had a clear description of every ingredient’s quantities/volume used in percentage. For eg - whole milk 87 % or tomato puree 92 %, Cocoa 14% etc.

This is one of THE MOST important companies to boycott. Amazon's Data Centers are what ICE is using to track and store data on immigrants and now protesters. Looking for feedback on an itinerary for a 18/19 day trip to Japan for first time visitors!

I tried to post this over on r/JapanTravel but the auto-moderator keeps removing my posts :( My partner and I are headed to Japan and April, and want to get some feedback on our trip. We've never been. Both of us are into anime, and I'm a huge Nintendo fan. Also very into history and sightseeing; my partner in particular loves gardens. I'd love to get some birdwatching in as well where possible...

Where Are They Hiding All The Good Food?

I don't know if you all have noticed this, but the quality in the average big chain grocery store in the area has taken a nose dive in the last year or two in particular. Not only are prices still up, but quality is clearly not where it was for fresh foods like meat and produce in particular. Fruit and veggies lack vibrancy, taste, and freshness, and steak is expensive and full of gristle and te...
