I'm 68 and on Medicare Part B and had an appointment yesterday to get my annual Covid and Flu shots at my usual local Walgreens pharmacy in Chattanooga Tennessee. They already had all my Medicare and Medigap Plan G coverage information but I gave those cards to them again (like 3 times over the course of an hour) whenever they asked. For the next hour I watched and listened to them try and figure ...
New Orleans, LA (October 7, 2025) The New Orleans Health Department (NOHD) announced today that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has officially approved flu vaccines for ages 6 months and up and yesterday expanded that approval to place the COVID-19 vaccinations on the recommended schedule for 2025-2026. Older adults and those at risk should check their eligibility for RSV, pn...

I have BCBS of Tennessee Blue Elite Plan G Medicap coverage with Medicare. Yesterday I tried to get my usual annual Covid and Flu shots at my local Walgreens pharmacy but they told me that neither Medicare or BCBS would cover the cost of these shots for me. Walgreen’s corporate Medicare office told them that Medicare was “secondary insurance” for this and BCBS told them that Medicare should ...
A humorous sign I encountered at a Walgreens pharmacy. Posting just for “comic relief,” not looking to make fun of anyone or the particular store.
Recently moved to the bay area (South Bay) and will be starting as a pharmacist soon. I’m originally from NYC and my store was not too busy (~450 scripts a day). If anyone works in the area please let me know how the workload is? Are the stores busy, on average how many scripts a day, are staffing issues common…etc. Any advice or tips would be appreciated too!
I got prescribed with medication and my doctor sent it to Walgreens pharmacy but I have no idea what to do. My Walgreens app shows it but it says I have no orders and I’ve clicked the add to order button several times today. How does this work, im stressed because I’ve never done this and I kinda need the medicine urgently Update: thank you everyone for the responses. I got my meds!!
I'm under 25 and on my parent's insurance, whenever I switch Walgreens pharmacies I always have an issue. The only insurance card I have is my mom's, because I am on her insurance, so I only have her Identification number. I went to a new Walgreens last night (I asked my Dr to send the prescription there because I moved recently) and the employee at the pharmacy took a look at the card and said I ...
I'm a customer, so let me know if this is not the right place for this and I'll delete! I'm not trying to complain, I'm just genuinely confused by a recent experience I had with a Walgreens pharmacy. My prescription was sent to the pharmacy before 10am on a Thursday. The app told me it would be ready by 11am on Friday. I was leaving town Friday afternoon and did not have enough pills for my trip,...
Got my covid booster at work (i work in walgreens pharmacy) yesterday and i am in SO much pain. I’ve gotten a couple vaccines in the past couple of weeks, and i got my pneumonia while getting my Covid, but none of them have hurt like this. Spent all night tossing and turning, couldn’t sleep due to the pain. I can’t move my shoulder much, I can’t move my arm at all without really intense pa...
Was wondering why I got mail from Walgreens - a friendly notice since I've been to that location exactly once for a prescription to let me know they're closing it down. There's going to be nothing left in that section of the Broadway corridor soon. Nearest locations are a joke. 😢
I’m new to the area (little over 6 months), and wondering if it’s normal for Walgreens to take 3+ days to fill a prescription? I just ended up driving there and sitting (after a week) while they got it ready. It still wasn’t ready after that long.. this was a steroid ointment. Now I have a common antiviral med and it’s been over 24 hours and still “in progress”. These meds need to ...
I wanted to share a recent story that I hope will help others. Skip to the end if you don't want the broader details. I recently switched to Qelbree to manage my ADHD since I couldn't tolerate the side effects from Straterra. The first time I picked up my medication I was charged $20 (yaaay as I was concerned it would be much more expensive). Into month two and my dosage has been titrated up to 4...
Has anyone else had a horrible experience with this pharmacy? This place frequently fails to refill prescriptions and is chronically understaffed. For instance, today, my partner's doctor's office called and told them they had called in his prescription the week prior. We received notification that the prescriptions (two) were ready to be picked up. When we drove up to pick up the medicine, the ...
My bother is in the hospital and I am applying for benefits for him. I need the Fein number to continue the process but I cannot get the info from my brother, and Walgreens HR is not helpful. It's a public number there are just too many options. He works at the Walgreens in Boulder Co. Does anyone have the fein? It's on every single paystub
I recently passed the PTBC examine and am now a certified pharmacy technician. I work at Walgreens across from CAMC General and am desperately trying to get a job as a pharmacy technician there. Everyone at the Walgreens pharmacy is quiting, one after the other, and the future is looking bleak.
Hi everyone, I’m 33 weeks pregnant and my doctor submitted a prescription for the RSV vaccination to my Walgreens pharmacy. I booked an appointment online and went in this morning and the pharmacist denied to administer me the vaccine. She said because the CDC stated evidence does not exist at this time to determine the need for additional doses in subsequent pregnancies, they can’t administe...
Most of what you need to know is in the title and right here. So lowkey was crying in the car earlier and but then did research and it sounds like this DOESNT make sense. I’m 21, in U.S.A. MI and trying to get T without insurance due to complicated bad home reasons. Skip if you don’t want context, I was on injections starting in june but i would skip weeks due to fears related to the needle ...
