Server Hosting Hardware

I'm hosting a server starting tomorrow for myself and a few of my friends. I'm the only one who isn't new to the game, so my plan was to leave it running 24/7 outside of regular restarts so they can all hop in if I'm at work. I got it up and running fine on a laptop using Linux Mint with a R5 8640HS, but I was really just testing connection and didn't build anything. From what I've read, it see...

Micro Center sales guy told me I should buy SSD now because prices will only go up

While standing in front of the SSDs and commenting about the outrageous price, I said maybe I'll wait until a price drop to the sales guy. The sales guy then said prices are only going to go up due to AI demand and if I plan on getting them, I should just get them now. Is he just trying to make a sale?

$200 for G50 2TB SSD?

I'm selling my unused T-Force G50 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD on marketplace. It came with a prebuilt I bought at MicroCenter. Since it came with the prebuilt, there's no box. **Wondering if a $200 price point is too much.** I have people trying to buy it for $150-160 but I feel like given that it's \~$300 brand new in box, $100 off is generous. Is Arduino the right choice for my projects?

I have 3 projects in mind that I want to work on, that I've actually already obtained Arduino's for, but then I started wondering if Arduino's are the best options or if something else such as a Raspberry Pi or something else, would be best. Any help that anyone could provide will be really hopeful. Just as a small bit of info if it's useful in any way, I currently have 2 Inland/MicroCenter Uno R3...

GPU spikes to 99% utilization and 2k+ mhz on light loads like youtube and hearthstone

So a little back story but the tldr version I tried to enable a bunch of security features to be able to upgrade to windows 11 and in the process fried my old ram and my mobo and cpu became unstable as well. Upgrading CPU, RAM for gaming & working PC

Hello all, I built this PC many years ago with my old man, and I've realized in the past year that my PC is approaching it's limits both with my work and gaming. If I could possibly reuse any of the old parts, great, but I'm also fine in investing a bit more to have a build to use for the coming years. Appreciate any advice, cheers! * New build or upgrade? * Upgrade * Existing parts/monitors ...
