To upgrade just CPU or everything except GPU

I have an old X370 motherboard, 24 gb DDR4, ryzen 5600 (non-x), RTX 6750 XT. Been looking at the micro center motherboard/CPU combos, mostly the B650 aorus elite AX ice and a Ryzen 7 9700x or go cheap with the Ryzen 5 7600x and a B650E-E.
