currently go to the YMCA in Springfield - I am happy there mostly but it is pricey. I love that it has everything I need for lifting, a pool/sauna, and pickleball/tennis courts. I was not allowed in 30 minutes prior to closing?

Has anyone else ever experienced this. I have been going to LA Fitness for quite some time and have never seen the doors locked 30 minutes before actual closing. I’m not sure what the policy is, but I find it quite ridiculous to be honest. I pay for a membership and the gym’s posted hours are 5AM to 8PM on the weekends. Does anyone know of an indoor basketball court in the area that’s open early in the morning? The LA Fitness here doesn’t have a basketball court unfortunately.

Has anyone taken Pilates classes at LA fitness?

I was going to just go to Odins because my goal for the gym is to work on getting back into olympic lifting. However, didn't know till now that LA fitness offers Reformer Pilates! I've been using class pass for a more fiscal way to get some Pilates in. However the price isn't bad compared to a studio. Does anyone have any insight to offer on how their classes are?

I'm trying to get back into a regular swimming routine. I currently use the Brown gym at Nelson but their pool hours are inconsistent. I'm considering the YMCA of East Side/Mount Hope, and then LA Fitness on Main St, but wondering if people know of other pools around? (Ideally near the East Side, but curious about across the city.)
