So, i’ve been working at Kroger since the end of September. I’ve already had a couple of walkouts/or people trying to stiff me but ive had nothing like this ever. Last week on Wednesday at around 8:30 PM est, this guy wearing a camo jacket, jeans a army patrol cap walked in. He was an elderly man and i didnt think much about it at first. I was running the main set of Uscans. Fast forward to ...
TLDR at the end, more details in the post. Okay. So I thought I had my life mostly in order, then I my house got hit by a tornado and both mine and my husband's paid off cars got totaled. It's not all bad, as the payout for my car allowed me to purchase a newer vehicle with (hopefully) less recurring maintenance issues, and our homeowners insurance is doing well to cover the repairs to our ho...
I've used Instacart for my Kroger deliveries for many years now. Before the pandemic, I was a fan of Kroger pickup. When the pandemic hit, suddenly there were no time slots, so I got hooked on delivery. Using their website was ok, but I found Instacart to have a much better experience because of 2 things. The ability to select specific backup items for each item, and the approval system after shop...
When did this start?
Has anyone else been having problems with going to the store and finding that most of not all the milk is a few days from expiring? I went to Meijer in Eastgate a week ago and all the milk was 3 days from expiring and yesterday I picked up groceries from Kroger and the milk they gave me is gonna expire tomorrow! I know best by dates are usually just guidelines but this is getting a little ridicule...
Conscious Capitalism goes back decades, most notably to Whole Foods co-founder John Mackey. Mackey has long championed the idea that business is about much more than just creating “value” for shareholders. To zealots of Conscious Capitalism, profits are a natural byproduct of a company succeeding at its mission, but there’s nothing noble in pursuing profit without a greater purpose. Whole F...
Ugh, this has been one of my go to grocery stores for the past few years, but no longer. I am not going back there unless I absolutely have to. It’s always been frustrating that this store has no self checkout downstairs, and there’s usually only two checkout lines open, causing the lines to back up. But I’ve grown accustomed to it. In the past few months however, something has happened th...
I've very familiar with scams and financial fraud, and this was a new one for me. The other day I received an email verification from Kroger (did not click on it) and then a few minutes later received another email from Kroger that a new payment method had been added to our Kroger app wallet. About an hour later when I got to a computer to login and check it out, I saw that some random credit ...
Will we ever get a budgeting app with integration into store purchases with details for stores like Kroger or Amazon? Would love to have that level of detail, maybe it exists? Picturing I can put my Kroger plus account in, my Amazon account, and heck maybe MyLowes etc etc and it pull those transactions and categories would be ultra detailed. I don’t super need it but with today’s tech I woul...
I’ve always believed Kroger stores pull the same shit as TJ Maxx, Kohls, etc. They pretend 2/3 of the store is on sale, when in reality 1/3 of the products are marked up and passed off as “normal price”
What a great company we work for, am I right?
There was recently a post about a 36 pack Baja Blast at a Costco business center and I have posted one in the past. The comments on the latest one were pointing out that it didn’t seem like that great of deal. This conclusion however is misleading because Costco adheres to a strict markup limit of a maximum 15 percent on brand name products. The reason why companies like Kroger can offer soda ...
In November I went to purchase a peaches and cream monster drink at the Mt Washington store. I went to the automated check out and as soon as I scanned the thing I get [SET ITEM TO THE SIDE AND CONTINUE CHECKING OUT.] I followed instructions and a clerk comes up. Tells me they have not added the flavor to their system so it can't be sold. I come back two weeks later and try. [SET ITEM TO THE...
Got nearly 50% off my order doing this! I like to design my meals and food needs off the grocery store sale items and it works out great! Just figured I would share my experience. Been doing this for the last year or so as a single male in his 20s. Anybody else go this route too?
I will no longer be shopping at the Walmart and Target in my area. Unfortunately, those are the main places I buy miniverse kits, since they usually have them in stock and I can check pinholes at an in-person store. The only other place I know that stocks them is Macy’s, and they’re never well-stocked. Are there any other stores that stock miniverse kits? I live in the greater DC area, in the ...

Target sells Ben and Jerry's for $4.99 as their usual price, while grocery stores like Kroger and Safeway sell it for $6.49. I'm not shopping at Target anymore. Anyone know of other stores that carry it for $4.99?
On a whim I used my BCP at the gas pump at BJs Wholesale Club. After checking my cash back summary. I saw that it gave me 6%. Now this is at the gas station, but I still assume it would get back the same inside the club.
I know this is a long shot, but has anyone heard why Fred Meyer isn’t carrying Kroger fat free sour cream? Supposedly Kroger stores still have it but not Fred Meyer or QFC. Thanks
