What the French???

I got knocked back down from a top shopper or whatever because i couldn’t find original items. No!!! I went to the clerks in each of these dollar generals and they were OUT OF STOCK!! It’s not my fault their inventory is off or that people steal. Plus (if you notice) it’s all from the Dollar General!! 🤬Has this happened to anyone else?

Kroger Private Selection Strawberry Sorbet Availability—What is Happening?

Trying to figure out what is going on with this dessert. Back in Fall 2025, these were suddenly on sale for $1 each, and then they disappeared & were unavailable for the Holiday season. I contacted Kroger customer support and they said they couldn’t tell if they were just going to be out of stock for a while, or if they were going to be discontinued permanently. Suddenly saw these availa...

Kroger in Brownsboro Road Shopping Center

In the grand scheme of things, I realize there are far more pressing issues in the world, but who tf designed the Kroger in the Brownsboro Road Shopping Center? It is genuinely the most unintuitive grocery store layout I’ve ever experienced. Nothing flows. Nothing makes sense. I get that every Kroger is a little different and you eventually adapt if it’s your regular store but I can usually w...

Appalachian sodas

My three favorite sodas are Herbal Dr. Enuf, Ale-8, and Cheerwine. I live near Richmond, VA and can get the last two anytime in my local Kroger, but not zero sugar Ale-8 flavors, so I stocked up this weekend in Eastern Kentucky. Shoutout in particular to the Food City in Whitesburg, which had all of these, plus Zero Sugar RC. The Abingdon, VA Food City is the furthest north that I have found Dr. ...

Where to find Tyson’s Heart Shaped Nuggets…

My dearest Knoxville Friends, I have been to five grocery stores in Northeast Knox this morning hunting for Tyson’s Heart Shaped Chicken Nuggets. I know. It’s too much. But I’ve got a special needs kid who is desperate for them. Anyone put eyes on them today? I’ve tried the Fountain City Kroger and Food City, the Kroger and Ingles off Emory road, and the Food City off Millertown Pike.

Skill Idea: Meal Planning x Grocery Store API

Wanted to share a skill I just added to my lil moltbot. My s.o. and I both love eating but don't like all the hassle that comes with meal planning and grocery store shopping. Most weekends we wander around the grocery store adding essentials with only half a plan. Meal Planner >> Add to Cart This weekend, I chained together a meal planning skill with a grocery store api skill. No...

What are the rules for mentioning real life companies, people, products, etc. in fiction?

When I say "rules" I mean specifically for a piece of fiction intended to be published (trad published). Let's shoot for the moon and say a novel wanting to be published by one of the Big 5. I'm gonna assume that having something slanderous in the novel won't have many people eager to touch it. Like, if a book accused (insert child actor here) of war crimes or something like that. A few...

New Seasons is an annoying place to shop.

Aside from the apparent labor issues that prompted the founding of a union, I feel like this is by far the most annoying grocery store in all of the Portland Metro area. The parking lots rival those of TJ’s, every employee looks like their dog just died, everything costs at least double what it would at Kroger, and 75% of the customers tarry over every single case of essential items (milk, bread...

I work at a call center. A customer keeps calling to ask about things that haven't happened yet

I never thought I'd still be working at a call center at twenty-eight. That's the kind of thing you do in college, right? Something temporary to pay for textbooks and beer. But here I was, headset on, watching the queue numbers climb on my monitor while I tried not to think about the fact that my degree in marketing had gotten me exactly nowhere. The job wasn't complicated. Answer calls, help cus...

Trying to eat more vegetables but...

Salad/Lettuce at the local stores looks horrible, bored of green beans, broccoli and cauliflower are like tough, eggplant is great but takes so long to cook, sweet potatoes are impossible to cook all the way through/thoroughly without burning 60% of them, striking out... Eat lots of beans, pasta, rice, fruit and peppers, olives, cheese, tomatoes, but my vegetable love is just gone... Part of it i...

Middle TN! The new Mr. Pibb is available in Clarksville TN!

Saw it listed on Target’s website. Checked the Clarksville Kroger, and they have 20 oz and 12-packs of the new Mr. Pibb in sugar and zero sugar versions. Also saw it in Dollar General stores there.

being deadnamed at work

So I'm trans. I haven't legally changed my name yet bc i only just passed the time eligibility mark in my state and also legal fees. I've worked in two different Kroger chain stores. In my old store, they accomodated my chosen name just fine. Now in this store apparently corporate won't let us use "nicknames" so i'm forced to have my deadname on my tag I despise my deadname. I'm griev...

Uplift Every day & Feed the Human Spirit. 🤣🤣🤣

So, just found out 100% that my DM & Store Leader want to get rid of me. I've worked for Kroger for almost 22 years. Now I'm no fool, outright loyalty from Kroger is laughable, but actively setting up and manipulating events to destroy someone's livelihood is disgusting. I'm at a loss.

Horrendous Hours

Hi all. After taking on an extra shift to get a day off for an event I am planning to attend, and still currently being in college, my Kroger has decided to schedule me for 38 hours next week! Yay! 38 hours of pretty much ALL SCO! *I'm so excited! So excited to be helping out the same buffoons and absolute idiots who want to make every small issue the biggest thing in the store!* That's the thing...
