Hi everyone, I’ve got **$670.88 in IKEA store credit** that I don’t need, and I’m trying to figure out the best way to turn it into cash. I know IKEA doesn’t give cash back on store credit, so I’m wondering what realistic options people have used. Is it better to: * Sell the store credit/gift card at a slight discount? * Buy high-demand IKEA items (like Alex drawers, Billy bookcases,...
Context: my parents don’t like Ikea and for years said that it’s bad quality and actually never went there in their life as far as I know (my dad for sure, my mom I don’t remember if she ever went but I don’t remember). So for years growing up I internalized this at home and never went there myself. More than a year ago, in my mid twenties, I went there to buy some things and now I regret ...
It was a RIOT! Riot I tell you!
Maybe he could help me hop some as well ❤️🩹

I’m really fond of their mac and cheese and desserts lol, but it’s always so very messy at my local ikea store, I don’t wanna eat there. Sorry for the stupid question.
I was in need of a motion sensor and saw that IKEA just released their new Matter-over-Thread devices so I went and picked up 2 of them for a test. Just paired them with home assistant and can confirm they work well with HA. I don't know how reliable they are since they're brand new but if they are, I'll be picking up more of them. They're US$9.99 each in my local IKEA store. Very affordable.
In 1 News' corporate slavish coverage of the Ikea store opening last night, they cut to Simeon Brown getting a piece of cinnamon roll. Simeon, grinning like an overcompensating year 8 nerd says to camera "I like to call them... Simeon rolls". How can someone be so blissfully unaware they're a >!walking micro-penis!<?
I've had Ikea Tradfri bridge along with some bulbs and switches since 2019 and it was great addon to my Homekit setup. It was super reliable, basically maintenance-free solution. But recently I Wanted to migrate to new Driggera hub because I knew tradfri along with that OG ikea smart home app was already a legacy thing. Also I couldn't find Tradfri plugs anymore, so I went for for it. B...
he says more small ikea stores to come in 2026, i really hope they don’t make ikea more like a d-mart
I’m in Wellington but quite keen to hear the experience of fellow Kiwis who flocked the new IKEA store in Sylvia Park today? From the prices on their app, seems like many traditional retailers will have a hard time. Personally, I have owned many IKEA furniture in the past snd looking forwards to shop again.
See Ikea's privacy policy. Interesting. I assume Woolworths have the same.
The first Ikea store opens in New Zealand tomorrow so it's my first opportunity to buy Kallax's. As I understand it these are considered by many people as the standard for board game storage solutions. Is that right? Currently I have cheap MDF shelves that aren't specifically for board game storage. Can someone give me some tips on what model and size of Kallax is best for board game storage and...
It has been a number of years since I worked for the blue box, but I still get contacted from time to time with questions even from former co-workers so I thought perhaps I just share some of my know how here. Some of this will be basic stuff, some of it you will know, some of it you might not know, I just hope it will be of use to someone. **I am missing parts:** Look under the sofa, cabinet wh...
It seems the Billsbro Anthracite is no longer available from most ikea stores. Is it going through a supplier change or is it discontinued? I had bought some packs for an kitchen that was just recently installed and the installer damaged three handles. Hoping I don't need to replace every single handle in the kitchen because of this.
