transmission oil pan drain bolt

i finally did it boys.... a year ago i did a drain and fill transmission oil change. I over torqued the bolt. I knew that one day I was going to need to repair it. I just didn't know how bad I had ruined the thread. today is the day. the bolt was hard to take out. should I invest in a tap and die set at harbor freight? or buy a new pan?

Can i reverse direction on this motor?

Harbor freight ac single phase compressor duty motor. I’ve tried a couple scenarios but no luck so far. From what I can tell the red wire is the start capacitor and blue run capacitor. Switch is closed when removed and open when assembled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What caused the excessive orange peel in the picture? Backstory: Sanded to bare metal, primed with 2 coats of 2k epoxy by “high teck”. Primer sanded 220,400,600 grit.
