My son is wanting to get into painting body shells and I'm looking for beginner tips. Do you recommend an air brush over spray painting? Assuming so I was looking at the Avanti kit from Harbor Freight. Is this a decent starter set? What else would you get alongside it? Recommended paints? Cleaning materials? Having issues with what I think is tip dry?

Using a black widow from harbor freight with a 0.5 nozzle. Spraying createx wicked. I tried a 10:1 for the 4011, a 5:1, a 1:1 and even a 1:1.5ish. I’m spraying at 20-30psi typically as well. Saw somewhere to do a strong paint jet off to the side here and there to help keep things flowing, been doing that.
