First run to work

I've been looking at doing actual barefoot running for a while now. I've already migrated all my footwear to minimalist shoes or running sandals. What's held me off going all the way is the weather; I live in Seattle where it's rather cold and rainy all winter. While not entirely an blocker, I wanted to wait for warmer weather before doing some actual barefoot running. Well, this week we finally h...

Show me your feet.....

I am building my first real chair. It costs more than I imagined, it's taking longer than I imagined and it's much harder to actually build than I imagined. So with that as the background..... What are some good feet to use? It is a mid century modern chair with a stool built out of walnut. It will be used on hardwood mostly likely. I'd love something that is quality, will never scratch the flo...

SuperMokh deserves some love

The diamond little striker, now with Willpower, in a 50 box. For me he's excellent, because I love a dribbling striker who can give defenders twisted blood while being small enough to slip under shoulder charges. Fast enough, more than agile enough, good finishing, two good feet and did I mention that he's tiny? If you haven't thought about it, do.

What arch support insoles do you use, and what was the process like of getting them?

Hi, I’m a new skater and I just got my left boot’s blade moved literally as far inward as possible (currently on just a test mount) after being looked at my by coach and a skate tech because my left foot pronates inward and affects my skating. The new blade position definitely helped a lot but they both recommended I get some arch supporting insoles. The tech recommended I go to The Good Feet ...

"He is so talented. Big, physical. He can move, has power, good feet."

Nick Saban on new Dolphins OL Kadyn Proctor: "He is so talented. Big, physical. He can move, has power, good feet. He's not a bad person. But when he's not in the building he might get a little overweight. You've got to manage (that) with him."

Local Resources for Plantar Fasciitis

Edit: thank you to those who took the time to reply! I am going to check out Marathon Sports and explore PT until my podiatry appointment. Please take good care of your feet and calves folks! Warm soaks and regular stretching. This is a **desperate** plea for resources to address PF locally. Have you been to a practitioner that helped you break it up? Is the good feet store worth the visit? I’m...

Please recommend me a bipod based on some needs/wants

I currently have magpul bipod. It’s meh as you all know. My big issue is it doesn’t go low enough. I’ve seen the modification people do to make them go 45 but I’m ready to just buy a better bipod. Things I want/need: \- I don’t know of a mlok QD system… so I want a Picatinny QD system. No tools. I don’t want to run sling studs. I move my bipod around on various rifles and want a Q...

How can I get them to like eachother?

Hello, I have recently bought a cat I was supposed to temporarily foster. She’s two months and I think she’s a girl. The only problem I have with her is that my older cat Ampu (an old man) doesn’t seem to enjoy her company. He was a very isolated cat before I got an orange cat named trouble. It took him 2 weeks of on and off interaction for them to like each other. Recently after getting my...

Tips for fear of walking

As the title states, I am TERRIFIED of walking, mostly because my accident was from the smallest step known to man (my bathroom has a step to get out to the room. I basically finished showering, I answered a text and I got out of the bathroom. I fell onto my room and tbh I am not even sure how u managed to break TWO bones from a 5 cm step) Anyways, I had surgery and I am currently in my week 6, I...

Big toe and second toe on left foot have been numb for a week help

Hi, Context I work at Walmart in the heavy lifting portion of the store and I had some new shoe inserts from The Good Feet Store to help mitigate pain I felt from standing up all day due to my flat feet. So a week ago on Friday, I was lifting something, and I believe the insole shifted when I stepped back down because my toes went numb. I was like okay cool, the tingling situation will go away wh...

Oceanside 70.3 2026, racing in the pro field on a broken foot.

Oceanside 70.3 is a Pro Series event, which means the field is deep, the margins are thin, and there is nowhere to hide. I finished 54th in the pro field in 4:16. I got beat by some age groupers, and Taylor Knibb outbiked me by over 5 minutes. That number tells part of the story. What it doesn't tell you is that I broke my foot in the swim and raced the next four hours on it anyway. Here's the ful...
