Why are Management so annoying about voids?

I've been a cashier at Dollar tree for almost 5 months and the one thing that drives me crazy is my manager is always riding my ass about voids I scan stuff sometimes and double scan it and have to take it off and people always seem to want something taken off why is it my fault why am I in danger for just taking stuff off
