100g gas canisters availability (France/Germany/Scandinavia)

I'll be riding to Nordkapp next June. I'd prefer carrying smaller canisters but they can be hard to find. For instance, Decathlon stores do not stock them during the low season, and even in summer, offline availability is not guaranteed. If 100-110g canisters were widely available, I'd bring a smaller pot.

Bad experience at Decathlon’s bike (Riverside 520 Touring)

I wanted to share my bad experience I recently had at a Decathlon store here in France. I’ve generally had good experiences with Decathlon, but this particular encounter left me really frustrated and disappointed. I had purchased two Riverside 520 Touring bikes during the Black Friday sales for a travel purpose—one for myself and one for my wife. When we tested the bikes, one of them worked ...

Bicycle Recommendation for Beginner (from Decathlon)

I am looking to buy a bicycle for rides around the city mostly around Colaba. Will the ST20 (single speed, MTB tyres, Steel Frame) be a good start. or a geared ones like ST100 (Aluminium frame, 3*7 gears, MTB). Had a test ride in Decathlon store, ST100 was tough to ride, more due to the thick coverage, but don't know what will be good in long run. ST20 / Mybike were smooth and given the ro...

some questions after a 'test ride' for my grocery getter

tried riding decathlon mybike, riverside 120, rockrider st30 and interestingly i liked mybike the most. the steering on the medium size riverside 120 feels too light, so i raised the seat height a fair bit to put more weight on the bars and it still felt too light and snappy. rockrider st30 felt like too much effort and i did not have enough pedaling headroom to downshift and check. mybike felt in...

Second hand Scott speedster 40 or Triban RC500?

Hello, I want to ask about what are your thoughts between these two bikes. A member of my triathlon team sells a speedster 40 (disk brake and shimano claris) but at the same price I can buy a Triban RC500 (also disk brake and shimano sora) in the decathlon store. I’ve seen mixed opinions about these two. It is a gift for my gf and we want to do triathlon. We are just starting out. What do you...

suggestion: Bicycle for uncle for daily grocery run

I'm looking for a cheap, simple bicycle with minimal moving parts to use for daily grocery runs on flat, paved surfaces. My primary goal is to get some light exercise and reduce reliance on food delivery services like Swiggy/Zomato. # Background: * About 15 years ago, I bought a **Btwin Rockrider 100** (unfortunately, I can’t find photos of it). * It was great for occasional office commutes...

why is there no decathlon store in Bhopal?

I have been to Indore and gwalior and found out that both the cities have decathlon stores. However no store in Bhopal. It kinda sucks because decathlon is something that most people who are into sports or even in general look for. And I don't see any reason why there should not be a decathlon here too in bhopal

Can you still get the "old style" Decathlon NH Escape 500 QUECHUA clamshell anywhere? (UK or otherwise)

Hi all. I recently bought an NH Escape 500 clamshell and was disappointed to find out Decathlon semi-recently removed some of the features like internal zippers, cable passthrough and main compartment meshes. Basically nerfed one of the best budget EDCs / travel bags. I went to my 2 local Decathlon stores and both only had "new" (worse) style bags in black / navy. I was wondering, is t...

RC100 flat bar vs drop bar for triathlon/running errands.

Hey guys. I'm in the market for a new bike and need some help choosing one. I have read the guide that's pinned at the top of the subreddit. Not very serious right now. Usually caused by some some workout injury o...
