Pasta attachments 3 in 1, versus separate

We will probably buy the Kitchen Aid at Costco. They also have 5 separate pasta attachments on sale, but I'm wondering if buying the 3 in one will be more convenient to use and store. Does anyone have experience they would like to share?

CSP or C1 Venture X? Card Rec for Temporarily Working Abroad

Hi everyone. I've been heavily debating between the CSP (Preferred) or Capital One Venture X and I wanted to get your thoughts. \*I will be travelling a lot by plane over the summer and in the next year (at least 4 domestic trips planned, 2-3 international trips to France/Germany, possibly 1-2 rental cars). Looking for a Visa or Mastercard that will be accepted in Europe, and a good SUB I can use...

[Self] Can I pull the eggs out of the carton in an order that's never been done before?

Naturally when I’m reaching for some eggs from my grocery store egg carton, I’m thinking about whether or not someone else has ever pulled all of the eggs out of a carton in the same order. I became convinced that it wouldn’t be hard for me to pull the eggs out in a unique, never-happened-before order, and then proceed to come up with the most unintuitive way to select the next egg.  I’v...

I stopped having the LLM categorize transactions. I have it write Firefly III rules instead.

When I started, the obvious design was: new transaction comes in → send to LLM → get a category back. That works but it's wasteful. My Costco run hits "COSTCO WHOLESALE" every week. Why pay for an LLM call every single time when the answer never changes? The second design was: cache merchant → category mappings locally. Better. But then I realized Firefly III already has that prim...

I got it.

Alright bros, I got an alert on my phone. Had to drive to two different stores and I got the LAST ONE! Dell S3225QC 32in 4k QDOLED (3rd gen) for $349 (plus 4% off with my Costco cc & membership, also includes 2 year warranty!) I was debating on going with a much higher end monitor, but for the price, I just couldn't justify a $1k+ display. For context, my current monitor is an HP E237Q....

The Bill for Brilliance: Why the smartest systems are the ones already dead

In the spring of 1991, a recession ended. The National Bureau of Economic Research would later mark its trough at March of that year. Output began to grow again almost immediately. By any conventional measure, the economy had recovered. It took the labor market seventeen months to begin returning workers to their jobs. A decade later, after the 2001 recession ended, the same measurement was take...

Why are my strawberries struggling so badly?

Hi r/berries, I've been lurking for a bit and was hoping my first post would be more triumphant, but I'm a first time grower and having trouble I can't diagnose. I'm hoping someone here can spot what I'm doing wrong. I bought a 25 pack of [Albion Strawberry Bare Roots from Burpee](https://www.burpee.com/strawberry-albion-prod000530.html), and after one month about half of them appear to be dead ...

How to make a studio apartment work for a couple

Hi all! My husband and I moved into a studio apartment over a year ago. I had never lived in a studio apartment before and haven’t been able to come up with any solutions on ways to get this place functional and comfortable for both of us. My biggest issue is storage. We both do a lot of cooking but have zero space in our small kitchen. I also don’t have enough space to properly store all of o...

Came back after a few years, can’t get web account to work

I’ve been a Costco member previously, but let it lapse a few years ago. Decided to sign up again. Tried online- couldn’t log in as ‘membership has expired’ so I tried various things including changing password, sending a prompt via my email. The email arrived and just said ‘There is an attempt to use your email for a new membership registration.’ I signed up yesterday via an outreach ...

Am I Being Cup(old) in the DMV

So does anyone in the Washington DC area know why these pictured Chinet 10oz plastic cups can be found at all the area Costco stores except for Wheaton and Gaithersburg. Is there some sort of ordinance or law in Montgomery County, MD that prohibits the sale of this item? Just curious

Cannot get the stink out!

Hi there, just recently stated using cloth diapers. I was gifted 14 new Nora’s nursery and 14 used once various pockets. They didn’t fit at first so I only used them for a couple days and then took a brief weeklong break and now back to using them. My baby had worn each diaper maybe 4 times and they stink!!! Like a very strange odor that I cannot describe. Is this normal? I have been washing...

Looking to simplify our wallets

Hello everyone, my wife and I recently paid off a lot of old credit card debt and have been using a debit card and budgeting carefully for the past 3 years while we got ourselves out of debt. Now that we are in a place where we no longer have credit card payments, we were taking a look at our wallets and wanted to simplify a bit. Not only that, but we want to move away from using a debit card f...

My (26F) boyfriend (29M) has a pattern of projecting his insecurities onto me and it's straining our relationship

My boyfriend (29M) and I (26F) have been together for around one year. Overall, we have a loving relationship and many shared dreams and goals. We have plans to move in together in the fall, but I am concerned that certain behaviours of his will make it difficult to cohabitate peacefully. I'm about to resume my masters program after a small break (due to health reasons) and I'm worried that the st...
