What do you store your Dry food in?

I have two cats and I will buy 18 or 25 lb bags of dry cat food from Costco. I was wondering what you store your cats dry food in. I saw a comment from a couple of years ago that said to leave your cat's dry food in the bag and put the bag into a container. If you do this what does your set up look like? And as far as containers go, should I be looking at getting something stainless steel or a pla...

Phones not shipped, no refund until “investigation” complete, about 6 weeks

We ordered three phones from a T-Mobile within a Costco location, we were going to switch carriers. We opted to pay for the phones upfront minus any promotional credits. It amounted to $1600 up front. After a week when we did not receive our phones, we contacted the folks at the T-Mobile at Costco. They couldn’t figure it out. We were told to call 800 number. The 800 number people told us that s...

[PubQ] How do books get chosen to be placed at Target, Costco, Airports, and libraries?

I haven’t even started querying my current manuscript yet, so this is definitely premature, but it’s fun to think about. How do books get placed in stores like Target, Costco, or airport bookstores? Is the process the same as getting into Barnes & Noble or indie bookstores? Are decisions made at each individual location—allowing them to favor local authors or regional settings—or ...

Finally at the "considering a deep freezer" level of middle class normie

Buying a bunch of shit at Costco. Freezing half the batch of cookies so I don't feel pressured to eat them all. Freezing LEMONS and then actually fucking defrosting them to make stuff later. Considering buying a deep freezer so I can buy shit when it's on sale and pull it out when I need it. Feels good to get to this level of stability. But if I start seriously considering going on hunting trips ...

Noticed grocery stock drop?

I was browsing the stocks and noticed a consistent drop in stock for stores such as Walmart and Costco at around 9-10am today. Target also had a similar drop but to a much smaller extent. Wondering if there’s a specific reason this might’ve happened? I thought it might have something to do with people being anxious about tariffs and stocking up but I figured that would increase stocks. Kind of...

I'd prefer not to open both if I can get the right sizing down first. Is there anyone with a similar build who can weight in...

My bitching about prices going up up up ...slowly

So I work at Wally PT and buy the same stuff over and over. Also a bjs/Costco member. Just bought 43 items and every single one was more than the last time I purchased. Easy to tell with the purchase history on the App. Not just wally but bjs too. Their vestibule has giant chips. Over $9!! And the grocery store. Staples. Up! Although I do try to go to the store with the cheapest stuff, i...

Why do so many "buy Canadian" types of Canadians continue to shop at (American) retailers like Costco and Walmart, meanwhile Canadian-owned and operated stores like The Bay, Zeller's, Eaton's, Simpson's, etc, have all gone out of business?

Can someone explain the cognitive dissonance at hand, please? I think we simply **must** do better! I will often see Canadians posting in Costco subreddits, asking if something is Canadian-made or not. Costco is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. It is an American company, regardless of the products it sells. Meanwhile, Canadian founded stores like The Bay and Zellers go out of business. Thi...

Quiche

Can anyone recommend a store bought WHOLE quiche from Schnucks or Dierbergs? I read the reviews on the Costco brand and “soggy bottom” came up frequently. I’ve always made them from scratch in the past, but don’t feel motivated.

Citizen Watch at Costco

Hi all, just wanted your thoughts and opinions on this watch that they are selling on Costco Canada’s online store. They are going for $190 CAD (approximately $140 USD), and I was wondering if the specs and watch are up to snuff. I’m a newbie when it comes to watches - I’ve only had Apple Watches in the past, and I’m hoping to have some more permanent/longer lasting and classier pieces. Al...

What is your "no substitute for Kirkland" product?

There's a lot of stuff I buy at Costco for the savings but there's several things I only buy at Costco because the Kirkland brand is just better. The popcorn is the best you can buy. It a bonus that you get 44 bags for the price of 10 at the grocery store. Also, the frozen lasagna, almond butter, marinara sauce, and French vodka are all just flat out better than other brand name stuff.
