Side-by-side: toilet paper width then vs now
Found some older toilet paper that’s \~4.5" wide. Everything I find in stores now is \~3.9". Only place I’ve seen wide rolls is at Costco, and I'm not getting a membership just to buy toilet paper. At this point I just switched to a bidet. I hope they continue with these silly games and shrinkflate themselves out of customers.

I've never been one to try to return items to stores in general, but hearing about Costco's ease of returns is wild to me. It honestly sounds like you just walk in with the item and so "shit's broke" and they return or exchange no questions asked. do you need your receipt? does a return or warranty window apply or even matter ? does it apply to produce that rots a day or two later ?

They obviously require a signature for delivery. Costco will NOT allow you the option to hold the package at a fed ex store. Instead, if your house is on an early or mid-day fed ex route, they will undergo 3 failed deliveries then send back to Costco where the only option is a refund. To make it even better, FedEx didn’t even show up on the third day and I took off work to be there. Fuck FedEx....
