I got a double cheeseburger the other day and the flame broiled taste seemed almost overwhelming. I was re-experiencing it for several hours after ingestion. Anyone who cooks knows that cooking things over flame doesn't normally produce such an strong taste. What's up?

Back in the day, I could get a full meal at McDonald's or Burger King for a couple bucks. It tasted fine. Now a combo is 15 dollars. The patty is dry. The fries are soggy. Someone dug up a menu from before the pandemic. Same meal, two years later, nearly double the price.
