Hello, I have a Hyundai Tuscon 2017 that I bought a couple years ago from a dealership. 1 prev owner before me. Clean title and seemed like prev owner took good care of it. A month after I purchased it, engine needed replacement. Literally stopped in the middle of the highway. Lucky, there was a recall for it, so was able to get engine replaced completely free back in 2023. A year later, cat conve...
Whatever you do don't charge your faulty battery and bring it directly to them, as in charge it and bring the car its in to the parking lot. Their tester will show its good as there is a surface level charge on it.
I was made bring it home and do a short stress test and it ran down in 5-10 minutes. Had it tested in Autozone before I brought it back and it showed BAD. Even printed a report for me...
No crank, no click, won't jump, but starts the next day.
Pretty much the title. Car (2015 Mazda 3) wouldn't start, no crank no click, but did make a very faint humming sound for a second so probably not the switch. Changed the key fob battery next day and everything seemed fine.
Yesterday, same thing. A friend tried to jump me, still no crank no click.
24 hours later (in similar outdoor temp) it started right up. Checked battery with multimeter, got ...
I would like to inform y'all why I still buy defensive stocks like AutoZone United Healthcare Lockheed Martin and merk Co. Normally you don't want to buy defensive stocks when the market is recovering from a recession. Everything is bullish, the economy is strong, etc because the trend is continuing up. However, we are in the late cycle of the bubble and this warrants caution and preparation. And ...
AZO, Auto Zone Is the newest stock to join my hypercritical list of good defensive stocks that are relatively safe. The only 3 stocks that have been on my list over the last 6 months are United Healthcare, Lockheed Martin and Merk Co.
UNH, LMT, MRK. Autozone is in a near oligopoly and has a strong moat. Their historical stock price since inception has been very consistent and stable. They are rela...
power steerng goes away and I get a warning about it on my dash; also plugged in to autozone for info and this was the result:
lost communication with instrument panel cluster control module
any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!
He is trying to wire an electric steering wheel control, he bought this switch and relay for this project. He is struggling to get the relay and switch to work together. Hoping Reddit will pull through for us, we are not trying to catch anything on fire tonight.
1.8 engine, 106k miles. In the past year I’ve replaced the intake manifold, the cam adjuster magnet, spark plugs and the PCV unit but not the smaller black breather right next to it.
For over a year now the light would come on randomly and go away, it never made a difference in drivability so I figured it was just German car doing German car things.
Recently the car has been bucking under acce...
I have a 2001 Nb2 base Miata. I’ve had her since 2021 and have been having some… weird.. issues lately.
Recently she has been dying on idle. She will run great then randomly start lurching/lose power while under load and then run completely fine. She only ever dies when I am coming to a stop, starting her, or sitting at idle. Again she will run great then all of a sudden start rough idling a...
One of my spark plugs blew out... I'm at work & can't get a tow
My (1999 Ford F-150 4x4 Lariat Super Cab) blew a spark plug, not sure which one cuz it happened when I was going to move it out of a parking spot from my works warehouse. I haven't identified which spark plug blew yet but maybe have a gas at the number eight spark plug since it's the hardest one to get to you and hasn't been changed from the service records I've been looking at previously done wit...

I took the mechanic because of random lights popping up. They weren’t on (of course) when I brought it. They pop up sporadically and it’s some or all of them. I’ve noticed light surge in the car when they pop up.
I had my battery and alternator tested at autozone and he said everything looked good.
But I’m just a little \*alarmed\* every time I drive. Video is idlin...
As mentioned, 2017 Kia Niro with a leak coming from the oil pan plug. I replaced the part with an OEM plug and it worked for a while, but now the leak is back. I purchased a new crush washer as well, still leaks. I’ve read about oversized pan plugs as a fix, as well as repair kits ($90 at Autozone), but I’m wondering if there are any other alternatives? If not, what’s your recommendation ...
My jeep has been doing this since I was changing the soft top for a hard top and I left the doors open and the interior dome light was on which drained the battery. I jumped it and it started right up. After driving it to work. It still didn't turn on when I would park and come back to drive it. I took it to AutoZone and they tested the battery and the alternator and they said it was good. They ju...
Thanks for all the posts about 2nd Gen Coolant Temp Sensor, gave me a heads-up! 2019 Z71 bought back in September. Sensor did a conk out a month later, did the battery cable reset trick worked great until last night, let it set overnight and it's working today.
Question: I want to get a sensor to have on hand to replace when needed, are there any brands better than others or ones to avoid? (Auto...
MAF Sensor for Toyota/Lexus question; Duralast vs Hitachi vs Toyota OEM
2009 Lexus with 190k miles, CEL came on; I used a scan reader and found P0101 code (which I believe is usually a failed MAF sensor). At first I tried a cheap Chinese knock off on Amazon, CEL stayed on, returned it. I then tried a Duralast sensor from Autozone, CEL went off. All is good until last night driving back from the office, CEL went on again. Same P0101 code. Sensor lasted for about 1....
This is the second year that when it gets cold I get check engine light for a day. After a day or so it goes away, so by the time I get to the shop the car is fine. I had a reading done at Autozone and it came back with: Secondary DTC: P0141 O2 Heater Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 2).
Last year I brought it to an old-school very trusted tech but his reading didnt pick up anything, he thought may be aut...
I have a 22 crew crab sv and a 2.5 ton duralast jack and stand set from autozone. Wanted some input from yall if I need to upgrade or if this would suffice, I plan to do most of the maintenance on the car, replace brakes etc.
I would hate to have to upgrade since I got the 2.5 ton for a Sentra I used to Own, but obviously would rather be safe than sorry. Also I know I would be able to do most ma...
