Until now, the aldi near me has always put 50% off stickers on all refrigerated things with a next day date. Such as any pizza, cheese breadsticks, dips, potato salads etc as well as all bakery type items like bread, muffins, naan.
The employee told me today they are no longer allowed to put 50% stickers on anything but meats :(

Wasn’t Aldi a poor people’s store back in the 90’s? Now, there are 100 + stores opening every minute and even middle to upper class people shop there.
What gives? I remember there was one Aldi near my neighborhood back in the late 90’s. No one shopped there and it was never advertised. It was for low income people on food stamps. No one at my school shopped at Aldi’s.

I have searched far and wide and all my surrounding Aldi stores are OUT of the “Cosmic Brownies”. I know they are controversial, but I LOVE them. Have they been silently discontinued?
