Cashier vs Associate tasks
Context: I have recently transferred to an ALDI store in a different state. I have noticed that part time cashiers at my new store are required to work curbside, pull/refill product, basically performing associate tasks. I am confused by this because I thought cashiers were only responsible for cashiering and having their area clean/organized. I believe they are paid less than associates, (correct...
I'm not a huge fan of battered and fried tempura, and before diagnosis used to eat the Innovasian meals regularly. I enjoyed the battered but not fried tempura. The Live G Free brand is a very good mirror of how that tastes. I thought it was sublime after going over a year without.
I think it's sold under Kirkwood brand now, which is Aldis store brand.
If you like non-fried tempura, it's absol...
I left Chicago many years ago, and now that I live in Orange County, California, one thing I desperately miss is a delicious Chicago style Italian beef sandwich. I live in the south county, and the only place I know of where you can get anything close is at the Portillo‘s restaurant near Disneyland, but that’s a bit of a drive, and Portillo’s doesn’t really make the best beef sandwich in ...
Went to pay with my blue cash preferred today only to get my card declined and told they are no longer accepting it as a payment method. It currently seems to be mainly in Michigan. Hopefully not a sign of what is to come.
Don't forget to bring a backup card now when shopping at Aldi

I'm so sad....I've searched for my favorite wine at all of the Aldi stores near me for a couple weeks and they're all out. Please bring back Winking Owl Shiraz!!!
Aldi always kept they recipe to resemble Hellmans whilst all of the other supermarkets switched to the cheaper Heinz recipe which isn't nice, just found an old one in the pantry, I wasn't imagining it, the color is different as are the ingredients.
The 2 pack of artisan flatbread is one of my favorite Aldi items. I use it to repurpose all sorts of leftovers for a quick pizza. But now none of my three local Aldi stores (ND/MN) seem to carry this product - like the SKU tag is no longer even on the shelf. Are others having trouble finding this as well?
I have about a dozen Aldi stores in my regular driving area (Chicago burbs USA) and none of them have had the unsalted pistachios in the last couple months. The boxes they used to come in would be half unsalted and half sea salt. Now every box comes with all sea salt ones. Anyone know if the unsalted are gone forever, or is it just a shortage/inflation/various catastrophes temporary thing?
Has anyone seen this Shiraz stocked in their local Aldi store recently? I need confirmation that my all-time favorite wine is forever gone outside of our local markets.
Playing a show today so I needed to be full of energy. Boiled an egg, chopped up a tomato and an almost over ripe avocado, cracked a can of deens, and slathered it all in aldi store brand hot sauce
They said avocado toast was why we'd never get ahead but I own a house so who's laughing now?
Aldi hammock shelter. Any good compared to DD for 1/4 of price?
Anyone tried these? Love my trusty DD frontline and tarp but couldn't help me drawn to this. Looks like it's got a structural ridge line too! At only £25 it's too good to refuse but like for like would be well over £100 for DD stuff.
Will see how it compares soon

Just got a job here, is there anything i should know? What are some big DOs and DONTs. Ive never worked retail so this will be my first position in that field.
I have been to several Aldi stores around Melbourne, and there is zero 500ml cans of Flying Power, either singles or 4 packs.
No staff can tell me why, except they have none in stock.
Why am I not seeing much hype for ALD1 now that they’ve debuted?
Something I’ve noticed just personally is I haven’t really seen as much talk about ALD1 as I thought there would be. I heard ALD1 is very popular in China/Japan/Korea so it could just be a demographic issue because I don’t live there but I really thought I’d be hearing more about ALD1.
I live in the West, is ALD1 just not that popular outside of Eastern Asia? If you compare their monthly ...

First of all, thanks to the community for all the valuable info!
I went online Saturday after driving to a spot with 3 popular stores within a mile of each other. Pulled into the parking lot of the busiest one, eager to see some offers roll in.
The first couple were garbage: low pay proportional to the mileage and item count. Like, less than $10 for 15 miles and 30-ish items.
After waiting and...
