He is only about a few inches at the minute so I’d assume he is a juvenile, I know he is a tropical species but the pet shop was not to sure, I am also wondering roughly how often they molt and how often should I feed him

Hi there, I have had my boy Kia for three months. He is in a planted 30 litre tank. I got back from a weekend away to find this on his face and him incredible sad. I am scared. How can i make my new budgie change its cage without forcing it and make it fear me.The pet shop gave me a pretty smaller cage compared to what i had in mind and i want my budgie yo have some room when i put my hand in . Although I got it two weeks ago, it's getting familiar with my hand not 100% but if it is on the mood it might stand on my finger. Anyone can help?
