did i get scammed???

i bought 3 ambulia from a local pet shop, but they look very thick and are different compared to my other ambulia plants. did i get scammed or are these just a different type of ambulia? (BEFORE YOU JUDGE: this tank is COMPLETELY EMPTY aside from these plants, there are no fish or livestock in this tank.)

Normal for Dumbo Rats to be curled up and breathing rapidly?

Visited a local pet shop with rats and noticed all of their dumbo rats were curled up asleep. None of them touching each other, all by themselves. Two or three were visibly breathing somewhat rapidly. The “cage” was glass, and way way way too small for the 5 or 6 rats in there. Didn’t take a picture but might if I go again. New Betta Rescue

Got this little guy from the pet shops and it seems like he is in a really bad state. Is this fin rot or something else? Any tips? Tank is cycled, correct temperature and parameters, I made sure of this before getting him. I also got him Betta Bio-Gold Color enhancing pallets, Daphnia and frozen bloodworms.
