Anyone else's bakery and Deli being turned upside down?

We had a bunch of corporate people walk through the department maybe last month and now both the bakery and the deli have a ton of changes happening and they're all bad. Was wondering if it's a Kroger wide thing or if our store is just unlucky. For instance, in the bakery department they're not letting people come in at 12 to make the donuts anymore. Their earliest shift is at 4am. And in the del...

Found these at Target today. Haven't seen these before anywhere

Somehow Target is the smartest company dealing with gluten-free. Products I haven't seen before. Also got some Udi hamburger buns for $2 less than I normally pay at Kroger or Meijer. And they have all of their gluten-free frozen items grouped together. Other stores need to adopt this model instead of having the gluten-free stuff scattered all over the place.

Love these ones

I believe they are a Kroger store exclusive. Got them at Fred Meyer a Kroger owned store. They taste very similar to the jalapeno and cheddar flavor they used to have 8.5/10

I need help researching these unexplained Texas murders. All news about them stopped suddenly last year.

The following account has been amalgamated from a variety of news sources and personal interviews. Anecdotal evidence was used to fill in narrative gaps only when either no reliable source could be found, or where no living witnesses remain to provide first-person accounts. ---------- 17 May 2024 - Eight-year-old Kevin Higgs was found wandering alone in a Kroger Grocery store in The Woodlands, ...

List of Kroger Unions

I'm sure I could find this on Google but, for whatever reason, I couldn't find a list of all Krogers protected by a union for both stores and warehouses. I want to do some traveling and find a new place to call home. So I want a list of all locations with unions and then decide where to move. This might be a weird question but any help is appreciated.

Help keep kratom legal in Tennessee!

Dear my fellow Memphians & all Tennesseans, >^(TLDR; I used heroin for a decade, kratom was the thing that helped me stop. I still use kratom and so does hundreds of Tennesseans. The TN Legislature is poised to criminalize kratom in the near future. Kratom is a much safer alternative to other drugs that are unpredictable and deadly. Please, write your TN legislature today and deman...

Stone Temple Pilots

I was at Kroger, an east coast American grocery store, and Tripping on a Hole in a Paper Heart was the store music. The lyric “But I'm not dead, and I'm not for sale” blew my mind.

Messed up last paycheck

For more context I took my last 2 weeks with kroger as my vacation weeks. My last day was march 8th. There was no bad blood everyone literally hated that I was leaving, never in trouble or anything. I just had to move away because of personal reasons. I recieved the first vacation check no problem but when it came time to get my second vacation check on top of my personal hours I was only paid 1 d...

Is Kroger considered to be too lenient or was that just my store?

When I was working at Kroger part time, I was not doing a good job at our store. I was unqualified for the position I was in (Front End Utility Clerk and Front End Courtesy Clerk) and I got in trouble multiple times. I was only ever given a slap on the wrist, despite the fact that I can recall 20 specific incidents that I got into that should’ve gotten me fired. The only times I got punished we...

This is rough

I’m on my like 200th automated rejection email, I’ve even looked for jobs while I’m looking for a “career” job at places like Walmart and Kroger (grocery store in the US) and they said they were going with other candidates🤣🤣🤣. I have a degree in Physics so it’s just a low blow😆

Fumbled interview and had to call back to be rejected

It's been a few days and I'm still feeling bad over this. I thought my interview went well as I answered all the questions to the best of my ability. But at the end I was told I'd be contacted as they didn't know what upper management would say. I should have realized that it was code for "you didn't land the job" since I have been hired on the spot whenever a job doesn't say that to me....

Hey, I used to work at Trader Joe's, and I ordered the meat!

I am days late cause my life is hectic as fuck right now, but I am finally watching the minecraft end stream and have some intel on the meat at TJ's! As the title says, I worked for TJ's for 6 years and at one point used to do the ordering for the meat section. Morning shifts meant getting to work by 3 or 4am, and most of the time one of the boxes of chicken thighs would explode open every morn...

Has anyone else noticed large amounts of expired food in stores?

I have had experiences in the last month of accidentally buying expired food from different parts of the city. 1) I went to gas station for a Starbucks to get cold coffee. Opened it with lunch to be met with sour smell. Checked the date and yes it was expired since November. I thought ok I got this from a gas station near the airport, I rolled the dice and got unlucky. 2) I needed to pickup vega...

Fuel classification?

Sooooo I am trying to buy a house and kroger has a lawyer benefit for employes, yet when I called and asked about it for closing docs they said fuel clerks were a separate classification and not covered for the benefits, my problem is I have been also working inside the store and been used as a cashier and bagger (CC) why am I being used as other classifications if I'm not getting to use the benef...

First timer on a grocery store tour

Ok Joe Fam, We are doing a test of grocery stores in our area, and Trader Joes is next. I have never been, and am curious what to expect, what to look for, secret tips? The goal is to do our full weekly shopping for a family if 4, including 2 younger kids. Very much looking forward to it, last week was a disappointment with whole foods. We will also do HEB, Kroger, Central Market, and Aldi.
