I DESPISE IC (account being sabotaged?)

(FOREWARNING: my main purpose in making this post is simply to vent my frustrations somewhere they may be slightly sympathized with So I have personally been shopping for Instacart for about 8 months now. initially it wasn't my sole source of income, as i worked at a vape shop full time during the first half of the year and only used this as side money for bullshit when im off the clock from my r...

I know Harris Teeter is a non union division. what other divisions are non union? Here is something that I am wondering about I thought Kroger fully intergrated HT into Kroger from an IT standpoint and payroll/hiring, etc. is all on Kroger systems? Did they ever intergrated th...

Kroger (maybe) corporate Pay Period Question.

How do the pay periods at Kroger corporate? (I’m assuming it’s corporate it’s in Cincinnati and not at a store) work? Someone my daughter is friends with started a last week and they didn’t get paid today but they seem to think they won’t get paid until the last day of August. And they will only get paid once a month. I’m having the devil of a time trying to explain how pay periods...

Sailor Scouts in the Kroger

This happened a while back and it still amuses my today. I used to work at the customer service desk in Kroger. I looked up to see a girl dressed like a sailor scout, a character from the show Sailor Moon, walking through the store. The store was near was near a city that has several pop culture conventions every year, so I was used to seeing people in costume come in while these cons were going. ...

Maggots at Kroger (Hubbards Ln, St. Matthews)

Title says it all. I picked up a little cat bed at Kroger today, and right after leaving the store, I noticed it was crawling with maggots. The employees didn’t seem surprised at all. I told them exactly where I found it, thinking someone might make sure there aren’t more maggot-infested products sitting there. But nope. One of them quickly whispered to the return guy to refund it, and that w...

My life keeps getting stolen from me

So I’ve had epilepsy since I was 15 (I’m now 26f) but I went like 4-5 years without seizures, unmedicated. Got pregnant in 2019, had my kid, went through the post partum, got a good job, and was loving life. I was even on track to get a new car, after driving a shitty beater for over a year or so. January 1st of last year I had my first seizure in a long time. Since then, it’s been medi...

Recommendations for where to go now

Curious on thoughts for my next card as 22M. My initial plan had been to continue in the chase ecosystem eventually getting a sapphire reserve but I'm second guessing this now with the price increase. Long term I'd like to have a system where I can take advantage of travel rewards. With this I'd prefer a system where I can max points to redeem. I'm definitely open to cash back cards as well I'm st...

Can I be scheduled 8 days in a row?

Hi there, I'm an employee of Frys (Kroger store based in Arizona) and consistently my store has been scheduling me 7 days in a row. It's exhausting. Yesterday, they had me close at 11 pm, and open today at 6 am. I just checked my schedule as they usually come out on Thursday, and I see they have scheduled me 8 days in a row. I am livid. It's already tiring enough, but this is absolutely asinine. I...

The Speed Icons are worth the $8.50 Price tag.

So far, I have only found these sold at Kroger Marketplace. The fancier ones that sell clothes and some outdoor furniture. Really like this. Found at their Newark, OH location in America. 1155 N 21st St, Newark, OH 43055 Store is always loaded. 3 dump bins, a whole diecast section and a end cap loaded top to bottom.

Anyone else noticed there's, like, NEVER anyone working outside of tills, bakery/deli, and customer service at Walmart?

I've never seen the store understocked, but I've also somehow very rarely seen anyone out on the floor stocking. This isn't even just something that changed during COVID and has stuck around since, they've been doing this for as long as I can remember. At Kroger and Meijer, I almost always see people out and about stocking, cleaning, etc, but Walmart? Front of store only, pretty much. Also, to th...

Horrible customers with no life.

Did yall know that you can just make up any complaint to corporate about an employee and they’ll just automatically believe it and will force your store managers to write you up? This bag of shit came to my store last week and just wanted a couple chicken thighs(I work in the deli). Anyway, I had my back turned and was working on a deli meat order when he barked his order at me. I didn’t hear ...

Security Guards/Managers

I’m in Houston, TX. Started going around to spots to get ETB’s or booster bundles to open and the situation on regular people getting product is WAY worse than I ever imagined. I went to Pokémon vending machine at Kroger, I noticed a security guard clicking the screen and struck up a conversation with him. He told me all day he is constantly clicking the screen and buying it out. He even sa...

How is manufacturing feel like and how should I follow up when I apply?

I have applied to two stores in my city. One rejected me because they chose someone and the other kept me waiting for 2 months and rejected me out of the blue. I have decided to try Kroger manufacturing since it is more busy but also no customer interaction. I prefer complex and fast paced days since a couple of friends told me about warehouse work and manufacturing make good money as long you can...

Watch your charges with (sc)Amazon...

Placed an order with Amazon for $75.77, opened the EBTedge app today to unlock/relock for an in-store purchase at QFC (Kroger) and see the Amazon purchase posted as $77.51- was obvious as I've started using BennyAPP for the 1% back on snap purchases (scanned receipts or linked store accounts - no, I don't let Benny have access to snap info, only receipts) and I was double-checking as Benny sometim...

A little story about a Kroger ASL who got his after Kroger tried to get theirs

i was and ASM (ASL now) for 3 years. hated it, was bad at it, Dreaded every shift but hey, rents not gonna pay itself. i’ll start off by saying i’m not manager material, i get too friendly, i care too much about people personal struggles and i’ve never been one to put money over people. I also can’t just sit there while one person in a dept is screwed by call offs. I would jump on regi...
