Re-rooting hair questions. So this is my first time putting hair in a doll head I’ve only gotten this far and I’ve probably used at least 4 to 5 needles, they keep snapping. Am I doing something wrong?

I’m honestly having a lot more fun than I thought I would, except the needles keep snapping off, so I have to go and walk to the dollar tree and hope that they have more. I already went to the quilt shop, but I’m not gonna pay another five dollars for 10 needles, especially at the rate they keep snapping.
