My Credit One pre-approval letter fine print states that they bill the $75 annual fee immediately when I open the account, and $99 a year after in monthly installments. 🤡🤡🤡
It's safe to say that I never opened up an account. But I feel really bad for people who are down on their luck who receive this letter thinking, "oh wow $300!!, this could really help me right now.", not knowing they'll pay $75 before they even use the card, leaving them with only $225 to spend. Highway robbery.
