Being forced to use shop card funds instead of CC for gas

When I try to get gas at the fuel pump it'll automatically default to paying with the funds I loaded to my account with a digital shop card even though I have disabled that functionality. The store correctly doesn't use these funds unless I have that option enabled. But the fuel pump seems to ignore it. Is there any way to pay with my mobile wallet instead of my digital Costco Shop Card funds?
