Can someone tell me what is going on?

Every Saturday, rain or shine, there is a line of people sitting in chairs they brought waiting on the store to open? I have googled and it said it could be new releases or Pokémon, but is there really one every Saturday? I live in a mid sized city and there is only 1 Best Buy within a 30 mile radius, but there are like consistently 8-10 people every Saturday.
