Why do Mac Mini users suddenly buy Mac Neos?

My friend is working at Apple store and he told an interesting pattern that many people buy Mac mini in conjunction with Mac Neo instead of buying MacBook air or MacBook Pros. He suggested to me that normally Mac Mini supporters rarely buy MacBooks however things changes with MacBook Neo.
