Apple ID reset problems

My daughter's phone went black and the Apple Store would not fix unless her "Find My" location is turned off. They told me that it will be 6 more days before a recovery email will be sent to me. 8 days total??? It is 2026 how can Apple a great innovator not have another option to get a reset???

iPad Help!!!

Haven’t used my iPad in over a year. I forgot my code and eventually got the iPad unavailable screen. When I plug into Mac and pc it recognizes the iPad. But when I put it in recovery mode, neither system recognizes the iPad to allow it to be restored. Apple Store couldn’t fix it neither of the 2 times I went. Is there any other option.
