Paper bedding or Liners?

The pet store i work at uses paper bedding, i use liners. I like paper bedding more because it’s easier to swap out when i’m cleaning, but i see that liners are more common. I currently am using a liner, and i’m not sure i like it. Which of the two is better?

Bistlenose or common pleco? Or something else?

Posted these the other day, have more photos now. Still not sure, the stripe on the fin is less mottled than common pleco stripes look imo. It was sold as a pleco from the shitty local pet store (either way, my dad picked it out and it's better off in our 55 gallon so it can have lots of space. If it is a common and/or outgrows the tank, we will rehome it once it's too big.)
